This part of the guide is explaining how to execute the process.įirst, you have to join any server with custom player-models. So if "playermodel Z" was edited, the server won't do anything because the file is still named "playermodel Z" But the trick is this: the server doesn't check the contents of the file, and just the name. If it sees that you do, the server does nothing to your game's files and lets you join. As normal, upon joining the server checks as if you have that file. Now, keep in mind that the server still has one custom file, which is "playermodel Z". Let's say a day later, you join the exact server. When you join for the first time, it downloads the file and puts it in the appropriate section inside of the game's files. Well, this "X" server has one playermodel(a sweet animu girl xddddddddddddddd). Why? Well, when you download the file, and it's put in it's proper place, everything works as expected. Now, the system in which it works is very broad, and not very specific. As the user, you yourself don't have to do anything, just wait for your game to load. When you join a server, if the server has any custom plugins, textures, or anything related, the server will send your client a link to download those custom files, and also tell you where to put them.
